Marko Milosavljević

Marko Milosavljević is a Professor, Ph.D., at the Section of Journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), and has served as the Head of the Department of Communication at the same faculty since 2021 until 2025.
He was a member of the Committee of Experts on Increasing Resilience of the Media (MSI-RES) at the Council of Europe (2022–2023), in charge of preparing the Guidelines for Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Media, and Recommendations for Media Resilience and Sustainability.
He was Vice-Chair of the Committee of Experts on Media Environment and Reform (MSI-REF) at the Council of Europe (2020–2022). In February 2024, he was a keynote speaker on Media Regulation and Ethics at the Ministers’ Meeting of the Council of Europe.
He is the author of the Chapter on Artificial Intelligence in the Mass Media Act, proposed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia (2025).
He was a member of the National Strategic Council for the Prevention of Hate Speech, formed by the Government of Republic of Slovenia (2023–2024). He serves as a special ethics advisor at the Horizon Europe project ELIAS – European Lighthouse for AI Sustainability (2024–2026). He was a member of the Core Experts Group for Media and Culture (EENCA), advising the European Commission on culture and media (2016–2020).
