Norway’s indigenous minority the Sami has since long been acknowledged a division in public service broadcaster NRK, with Sami language radio and television broadcasts, also beyond news content. The community is also served by Sami language newspapers. However, new provision for other minority groups have not seen similar support and are to a lesser extent served by unique news producers.
