With growing demands to produce important and interesting news, the requirement to find a new angle, a different aspect in news presentation, is becoming crucial. Having good sources is not only required by journalists who report on domestic politics; with growing media competition it has gradually become a general requirement that is applied in all fields (politics, economy and sports). other studies also have shown that informal channels of communication (personalized connections) are considered to be very important among Lithuanian journalists.
