Perhaps partly due to its small size the sustained and specialized media criticism is not found in journals or institutions, but media performance is often publicly discussed in the media, and some forms of journalistic coverage of the media is widely available. This takes the form, often, of debates concerning ethics after high profile cases (such as the Giske/Bar Vulkan case), or evaluations in the board of ethics (PFU).
NRK has a long-running radio program on media and media technologies (but not specifically on news/journalism), and there are regular media commentators in major newspapers (esp Aftenposten).
