“Success and Failure in News Media Performance: Comparative Analysis in The Media for Democracy Monitor 2021”

Going beyond the single country reports, the third book volume of the Media for Democracy Monitor 2021, introduces cross-country comparisons on major issues of media performance for democratic societies. In the launch, we will discuss findings on the strategies to counter misinformation, mechanisms to protect journalists from harassment, persistence of the watchdog role, and media innovation.
